Kebalen Village, Babelan District, Bekasi Regency is an area with an urban typology, densely populated with massive waste problem. The existence of garbage on the side of the road, riverbanks, and illegal temporary garbage dump has caused conflicts between residents. Therefore community-based waste management was introduced as a waste management conflict resolution. This study aims to (1) examine the problem of waste management; (2) reviewing community-based waste management conflict resolution models; (3) examine the role of the waste school as a waste management conflict resolution. This activity was conducted using an action research method. The results of the mapping show that the problems of waste management include low community awareness, no waste management activities. weak law enforcement, and there is no cadre/institution for mobilizing. The recommendation is through eco community schools as a medium of community education in forming awareness of the environment. The implementation of the waste school has had a positive impact in the form of increasing community participation in waste management, commitment to joint waste management through waste banks, improving environmental quality, having an economic impact in the form of processed waste products and waste savings.
